Serbian fruit producers turn out in force as Serbia Does Fruit at Fruit Logistica 2020

The USAID Competitive Economy Project, in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Serbia Development Agency, helped 13 Serbian fruit growers present their produce at Fruit Logistica 2020, held this year from 5 to 7 February. The Serbian contingent was made up Blueberry Club Serbia (Gornja Toplica), Fine Food Line (Kruševac), Fruct Company (Smederevo), Glišić Trend (Loznica), Green Energy Group INT (Mladenovac), Hladnjače Brestovik (Grocka), Inter Funghi (Požarevac), PDM Agro Fruit (Pudarci), Pureberry (Belgrade), PureVeg (Belgrade), Ćirić Agro (Titel), Select Fruit (Subotica), and D.V.A. Sagal Agrar (Belgrade). These firms appeared at the Serbian national stand under the umbrella brand Serbia Does Fruit, together with eight more companies from the Vojvodina region, sponsored by the Vojvodina Provincial Agriculture Secretariat: Sweet Cherry Lady, Vranić Plantations, Agronom Co-operative, Sirmium Fruit, Krsturska Paprika Co-operative, Carska Bašta, Vlabons Group, and COPA, a consortium of Atos Fructum and PIK Južni Banat. This event is one of the world’s largest annual trade events in the fresh produce industry that brings together producers, importers, and exporters of fresh fruits and vegetables, wholesale and retail traders, and transport and logistics experts. In 2020, 3,200 companies and organisations from some 90 countries were present at Fruit Logistica, and the fair was attended by over 78,000 visitors from 130 countries.
